I'm off to Virginia tomorrow. My friend M is having surgery on her neck and I'm going to "help." I don't quite know what "help" means yet, but I intend to do it and be good at it. She's having three vertebrae fused together and will be in a neck brace and significant pain afterwards. I don't know that I can make that better, but I can feed pets, vacuum, do laundry, prepare meals, help dress, do pedicures, put in videos, get mail, brush hair, refill water bottles, etc.
See you in about a week.
Good on you. All those things you can do for her are terrific, but I believe the best tonic will be for her to have a good friend at her side, and that she will have.
Kudos.
