My debut shots. It was a bittersweet night. My teacher and mentor, Linda, lost her Mom to cancer two days ago. Linda is still determined to play all the gigs with the band this weekend in honor and in memory of Mom, and I think, given that it's Memorial Day, that is appropriate. How she held it together tonight, especially during Amazing Grace, I'll never know. Courage, thy name is Linda. Here's to your Mom, who we know made it to heaven a half an hour before the devil knew she was gone.
