Here's a link to the Somerville Parade on Sunday. Notable for the pack of Irish Wolfhounds that are always there. And it's just a really great parade and great atmosphere every year.
After that, we took the magical schoolbus ride* to the Hackettstown Parade. I believe it was the town's first SPDP and whether that's true or not, it was one of the nicest parades I've been at. And the sub shop at the end of the route makes some awesome sammiches.
Tomorrow is Sleep Late Day, the first one in over a month.
And Sunday is Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. I have roots there. And friends in the neighborhood. Dang, this is a fun season. And it doesn't end in March. Tartan Day is the first weekend in April. Stay tuned.
* That ride in the back of the bus over Schooley's Mountain was so scary that Lizzie and I had to resort to Dewars. It was much more fun after that. The hills on the bus go up and down . . . up and down . . . up and down . . .
