I find that so sad. Poor little thing. He was so beautiful...did anyone bury it?
Sometimes it is a difficult thing for me to grasp, that life is not an indefinitely long train ride, and that we all have our own stop in which we enter the subway station of eternity.
It sucks but, it just is what it is, I suppose.

Tragic and beautiful, all at once. His color isn't as deep as what I'm used to seeing around here. Is that a regional thing? or did death steal his vibrant color, as well?

E1 - No, I didn't bury it. Left it right where it was. But now that you have me thinking about it, if it's still there tomorrow, I will give it a proper burial.
E2 - I don't know if it's your monitor but I think he looks very bright especially in contrast with the dead grass he's laying on. Or maybe your jays really are brighter. This is the only kind I know.
